Cendol and curry chicken beehon
Tonight: Variably cloudy with scattered thunderstorms. Low 76F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 60%.
Cendol
What: A dessert in which strands of green “cendol” are served in a cold mixture of coconut milk, brown syrup made from the local gula melaka, and shaved ice.
Price: RM1.20
When: Last day of 2004
It was a cloudy afternoon with M in Subang, looking for something to fill after our claypot Bah Kut Teh breakfast cum lunch in Klang. Traffic was slow, the stall that M usually goes is closed that Friday, maybe new year eve.
Headed to another stall which is located somewhere near the staircase leading to a mosque. The mosque can be seen clearly from the traffic light in front of Subang Parade. Besides it, there is a rojak stall.
“Minum, dua”, M ordered. We took the small bowl and started to feel the unique freezzing coconut fragrance taste. “Lack of some ummhh, I prefer another stall I mentioned to you, but closed today”, he commented. I shared the same, to me the one at Jalan Sultan (KL) tastes better.
Any good recommendation?

Curry chicken beehon
What: My mother mixs curry chicken and beehon together.
Price: Need to check with my mum
When: First day of 2005
She suddenly came up with this idea, mix curry chicken she cooked with beehon, but not laksa, actually. Thicker soup with potato instead of Beansprouts (Taugeh). Haha, taste rich. Brother seems enjoyed it very much.
