Friendly 2005: Malaysia 37-strong squad trimmed to 27
The Malaysia 37-strong squad preparing for the two-match series against Singapore on 4th and 8th of June has been trimmed down to 27 players.
2004 Tiger cup captain Rosdi Talib and Bournemouth FC trainee Fadzli Saari are among the exclusion. Both of them have been playing too many matches in Super League, FA cup and AFC cup and needed a rest to recover from fatigues.
On the other hand, national team regulars such as Juzaili Samion, Irwan Fadli Idrus, Indra Putra Mahayuddin, Khalid Jamlus, Mohd Nor Ismail, Liew Kit Kong, Victor Andrag and last minute call-up Hasmawi Hassan were left out due to injury.
Malaysia national coach Bicskei will further reduce the team to 22 players by 3rd of June, just one day before the squad leave for Singapore.
