Malaysia U23 2 - 0 Sri Lanka
10′ [1 - 0] Khaironnisam
60′ [2 - 0] Mohd Norfarhan Mohamad
A goal in each half gave the Malaysian national Under-23 squad a valuable 2-0 win over Sri Lanka.
With three over-aged players being fielded for the side which is being put together for the Asian Games later this year, the win however has not put the smile on head coach Norizan Bakar.
Ten minutes into game, Malaysia took the lead when Khaironnisam rifled in from 20 metre out while Sri Lanka was left to do much of the defending.
The break saw Malaysia not putting any sense of urgency into their game before Mohd Norfarhan Mohamad nailed the second goal for the homesters from the edge of the box in the 60th minute.
