Merdeka Tournament 2006 Fixtures

The Merdeka football tournament will make a return in August after a 5 year lapse. The last tournamet was held in 2001, where Uzbekistan emerged as champions.

This year, winner of the tournament will claim a cash prize of US$10,000 while the runners-up will receive US$5,000.

The fixtures are as follows:

23rd August, 2006: Myanmar vs Thailand (6.30pm) / Malaysia vs Indonesia (8.45pm)
25th August, 2006: Indonesia vs Myanmar (6.30pm) / Thailand vs Malaysia (8.45pm)
27th August, 2006: Thailand vs Indonesia (6.30pm) / Malaysia vs Myanmar (8.45pm)
29th August, 2006: FINAL
