Malaysia to play friendly with Baharin on 23 Sep?
According to Fifa.com website, Malaysia’s next international friendly opponent will be Baharin. A tough match for the team, I think. The match will take place in Manama on 23 Sep 06.
Who will playing? Norizan Bakar yet to release the squad list and it’s only 6 more days to go!
Here’s Malaysia International ‘A’ match score card for 2006 (so far):
27.08.2006 Malaysia (MAS) 1:2 (1:0) Myanmar (MYA)
Malaysia’s goal Scorer: Indra Putra
23.08.2006 Malaysia (MAS) 1:1 (0:1) Indonesia (IDN)
P/S: Indonesia own goal
03.06.2006 Malaysia (MAS) 0:0 (0:0) Singapore (SIN)
31.05.2006 Singapore (SIN) 0:0 (0:0) Malaysia (MAS)
23.02.2006 New Zealand (NZL) 2:1 (1:1) Malaysia (MAS)
Malaysia’s goal Scorer: Safee Sali
19.02.2006 New Zealand (NZL) 1:0 (0:0) Malaysia (MAS)
0 win 3 draw 3 loss 2 goals. I hope Malaysia can win 1 international ‘A’ match, at least by end of this year. Can the team make it?
Just found out from Gulf Daily News that the friendly was called off.
BFA (Bahrain Football Association) received an apology from FAM on 10 Sep as the Malaysia side will not be able to meet the Bahraini team.
Malaysia were also due to play another friendly match with Bahrain’s Olympic team on September 30 at Manama as part of the preparations for the 2006 Doha Asian Games.
