In Shenzhen - an introduction to dense population of 8 million
Yup, I am now at the “Wu Jian Dao” internet cafe, Shenzhen. The surfing rate is 3.50 Yuan per hour. Of course, member price is lower, at 2.50 Yuan per hour.
Just finished touring Window of the World today, which features the world wonders, historical interest sites, scenic spots and natural landscapes. The park is composed of attractions based on geographical position and category of scenes. Among the sights are replica of Eiffel Tower, Egyptian Pyramid, Pisa Tower, Taj Mahal of India, Grand Canyon and others.
I will be compiling some short travel notes for past few days travel:
Day 1 - Macau, Shenzhen
Day 2 - Guangzhou - Nanyue Royal Tomb Museum (南越王墓), Yuexiu Park (越秀公园), which is the largest urban park in China (like Singapore botanic garden style), the Ming Dynasty Zhenhai Tower (镇海楼), Stone Statue of the Five Rams (五羊石像), which is the symbol of Guangzhou.
Day 3 - Shenzhen - Deng Xiaoping Drawing, Hongli Park, Shenzhen Book Mall, Yinghu bus interchange (to purchase ticket to Yangshuo, Guangxi)
Day 4 - Shenzhen - Minsk Aircraft Carrier World, which is a big Aircraft Carrier theme park with “War and Peace” and an important tourism Project of Shenzhen. I was denied entry to Zhongying Street because this area is restricted to only PRC citizens. The attraction of this street is that one side is in the Chinese Mainland and the other is in Hong Kong, earning it the nickname “one street two systems”.
Day 5 - Yangshuo - Yulong river rafting, cycling, Yueliang hill (Moon hill) hiking
Day 6 - Yangshuo - Yulong river area cycling.
Day 7 - Shenzhen - Shenzhen Art Musuem, Donghu Park, Shantou.
Day 8 - Shantou, Chaozhou
Day 9 - Shenzhen - Window of the World.
