Today is the 2nd day of Hari Raya celebration.

I would like to wish all my Muslim friends Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri! Hari Raya means Day of Celebration and it is a time to reconcile and renew relationships with others.

In this festive season, I seek forgiveness from you physically and spiritually. Maaf zahir dan batin.

Down with the sickness. Woke up this morning with a really soar throat, flu also. Really pain, on medical leave.

Thanks to Jieyu for organising yesterday night net gathering! It was good to have old friends (Garumon, Huanzhang, Jieyu and XiaoKang) and new friends (::J::, money, snowmuncher and rabbit_pink) chatting happy and having a really good time at the coffee shop, besides a simple dinner.

We spent about $10 per person for a six-course dinner. Marble goby fish 顺壳鱼 is the main one, of courselah. Claypot tauhu 沙煲豆腐, vegetable, egg foo young 芙蓉蛋, seaweed soup 紫菜汤 and yam ring 佛钵飘香.

The next lap left 7 of us to drink tea. I had 钓鱼 (chinese tea), which becomes my daily drink nowadays. The gathering ended at about 11pm.

When is the next one? Very soon, probably this Friday.

Doing nothing during the bus trip to Taman Bukit Indah, Johor Bahru (JB) last Friday (22 Jun). So I jotted down the bus fare table (display on the bus, approved by government agency in charge of transportation) for Causeway Link CW3, plying between Bandaraya (JB), Tmn Bukit Indah, CIQ, 2nd link and Jurong East (Singapore). Bus fare in RM.

However, actual fare collected by the bus company (Handal Indah) is slightly higher than the one fixed by the government agency. For example, a trip from Pejabat Pos to Taman Bukit Indah costs RM2.30, 25 sen higher than the rate stated in the fare table.

Are they allowed to do so?

I got to know JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge from the email sent by my company HR personnel.

This event will provide employees with an avenue to excercise, foster company pride and teamwork, while participating in a fund raising event that contribute to the local charities.

The registration fees is $35 but we are only required to pay $10, rest sponsored by company. Without hesitation, I signed up for this event together with my department collegue.

It’s a 5.6km run in the evening (6 pm) of 3rd May. This year run drew a record crowd of more than 11,000 participants from 345 companies.

First time running JP Morgan. I am within the running crowd…

The afternoon before the run, it was raining heavily. However, the shower stopped at about 3 pm, thus made a perfect weather for running on that evening.

I got to know a few collegues from other department/fab during the bus trip to Padang. Even surprise and nice meeting someone that I known (equipment vendor) at the Padang among the crowds. Ha Ha!

Started the race along with SK, S, and CS. In the initial run, a lot of effort and time wasted trying to overtake, very congested. The running space was limited, probably due to large amount of participants and the construction at Marina Promnade? I stopped a few time after the 2.5 km.

Towards the final few hundred metres, GS saw me and cheered me up to the finishing line. I increased my pace and clocked 37 mins 58 sec.

My shoe is full of mud while back in Padang and required a thorough wash before I can put it on again. Will it be staining brown even after washing?

How time flies? I don’t have any answer to this question. It flies and I don’t realise how it actually passes through. Happy new year 2007.
